Charlie Chaplin-Inspired Flat in Cannes | Unique Event Venue

Take a trip back to the modern era with this Charlie Chaplin-inspired flat.

This space pays tribute to the origins of black-and-white cinema, through the world of Charlie Chaplin and his famous character, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The building itself was constructed in the 1910s.

The aim was to recreate the atmosphere of cinema’s early days, using a palette of greys and warm black and white. Several original features have been preserved, notably the mouldings on the ceiling and walls, as well as the marble fireplaces in the living room, the kitchen and three of the bedrooms.

In the living room, the wallpaper featuring hot-air balloons highlights the room’s rounded façade. But the central feature remains the rotunda window, the true centrepiece of the flat, which has also been preserved since the time of its construction.

This window immediately lends the room a sense of roundness and catches the eye the moment you enter. The entire décor has been designed around this circular shape: the tables, pouffes, rounded rugs and the imposing chandelier all complement this design and create a welcoming atmosphere.
