Medieval castle in Mayenne

Our château is located in the department of Mayenne. It is a historic building whose origins date back at least to the end of the XIVᵉ century.

The estate is surrounded by a moat with retaining walls and access to the château is via a small stone bridge. The facades feature dormer windows with triangular pediments, adding to the architectural charm of the place.

Since 2015, the château has been undergoing renovation. The ambition of the new owners is to transform this historic monument into a third-party cultural centre, open and accessible to all, in the heart of the Mayenne region. The site now hosts a wide range of activities, including shows, workshops and events, while restoration work continues to preserve this heritage.

The château has been listed as a historic monument since 9 December 1983, and this protection was extended in 2017 to include various built features and the grounds of the former gardens, flowerbeds and orchards.

Today, the château stands out for its renaissance as a place for cultural life, combining history, art and conviviality, while preserving its architectural and historical heritage.

The tavern, theatre and outdoor grounds are available for hire together or separately.
