Parisian Haussmann Apartment with Rococo Décor

In the heart of the 9th arrondissement, on Rue d’Amsterdam, this 80 m² flat is a real gem: its Haussmann-style décor has been fully preserved, with carved wood panelling and Rococo mouldings embellished with gold leaf that transform every wall into a work of art. You immediately feel as though you’re in an 18th-century drawing room – a miniature Versailles perched above the rooftops of Paris.

The large open-plan living area boasts spectacular high ceilings, herringbone parquet flooring, a carved marble fireplace and a row of tall windows that flood the space with light. Antique mirrors with gilded frames are arranged in pairs from wall to wall, further enhancing the sense of space.

It is the interplay between heritage and contemporary design that makes this place so unique: a curved sofa in immaculate bouclé, a Klein blue rug, sun-yellow side tables and designer chandeliers with corolla-shaped shades provide an elegant contrast to the classical décor. At the heart of the living area, the open-plan kitchen — entirely clad in brushed brass, with a curved central island, a light-coloured stone worktop, and a built-in oven and hob — is a true functional sculpture.

The bedroom offers a radically different atmosphere, warm and cosy: a sculpted terracotta ceiling, a textured wall with coppery highlights, a tufted headboard and bed linen accented with touches of powder pink. A white glass partition with Art Nouveau lines opens onto the en-suite bathroom and its vintage freestanding bath – a setting straight out of a fashion photoshoot. A walk-in wardrobe offering ample storage completes the bedroom, whilst the guest toilet, clad in safari-print Toile de Jouy, extends this refinement down to the very last detail.

A space that’s photogenic from every angle, as perfect for an exceptional stay as it is in front of a camera lens.
