Corporate party in Paris: 8 ideas to celebrate the end of the year

✨ A different kind of year-end party

December is coming and every team is asking the same thing: what are we doing for the year-end party? A restaurant dinner is still the default, but more and more companies want something that actually brings people together, where colleagues do something as a group before sitting down to eat.

Cooking class, raclette night, pottery workshop, laser tag or a full dance party: here are eight ideas for a corporate party in Paris, from the most intimate to the loudest, each with a venue that fits the format. At the end, a few pointers to help you choose between a Christmas dinner, a cocktail party or a January celebration.

🍽️ Around the table: dinner, cooking and raclette

A private dinner, made warmer

It is the easiest format to organise, and often the one people enjoy most. To keep it from feeling like yet another business dinner, pick a smaller venue your group has to itself: a whole restaurant, a private room, an apartment with one long table. A seasonal menu, a few words from leadership between the main course and dessert, and the evening finds its own pace. To compare the options, read our guide on where to host a corporate party in Paris.

A team cooking class

A chef, worktops, aprons. Everyone makes part of the meal, then the whole group sits down to eat what they cooked. A cooking class flattens the org chart within minutes and works best for groups of 10 to 30. In December, seasonal themes go down well: Yule log, fresh pasta, petits fours or homemade foie gras.

Le Marais · up to 30 guests

Between the Centre Pompidou and Arts-et-Métiers, this café-restaurant and its skylit studio cover 130 m²: 45 m² of café and a 50 m² reception room with stone walls. The fully equipped open kitchen and modular tables make it a natural fit for a cooking workshop followed by dinner. You can book the whole place.

A raclette or fondue night

The coziest format of the winter. Raclette grills in the middle of the tables, mountain cheeses, cured meats and a white wine from Savoie, and suddenly it feels like a ski chalet in the middle of Paris. Service is simple, and a raclette night works just as well for a team of 15 as for a floor of 60. Just check that the venue is well ventilated and has a kitchen or prep area for the caterer. And if your team wants the real mountains, save the idea for January with a chalet seminar.

🎨 Creative workshops: pottery, wreaths and cocktails

A pottery or ceramics workshop

Hands in the clay, phones out of reach. A pottery workshop has become one of the most popular team activities of the last few years. A ceramicist brings wheels or air-dry clay, everyone shapes a mug or a bowl, and the fired pieces arrive a few weeks later. Allow two hours for the workshop, then drinks and nibbles to carry the evening on.

Christmas crafts and a tasting

Advent wreaths, candles, dried-flower arrangements: seasonal craft workshops suit groups who prefer a calmer mood. They pair well with a wine tasting led by a local wine merchant or a cocktail masterclass run by a bartender, for a quieter holiday party where the conversation matters as much as the activity.

Montorgueil · up to 80 guests

In the heart of the Montorgueil district, a short walk from Châtelet, this cocktail bar takes its cue from the Portuguese navigators who sailed to Asia: signature cocktails and Asian-Portuguese sharing plates. Its 110 m² are split into three spaces, a passageway in golden light, a lounge around the bar and a cosy corner with soft banquettes. Up to 80 guests standing and 57 seated, with a professional sound system: an ideal setting for a wreath-making workshop followed by a cocktail masterclass.

🎯 Games and challenges: laser tag, quizzes and casino nights

Laser tag, escape rooms or go-karting

After a busy final quarter, some teams mostly need to let off steam. Laser tag, an escape room, indoor karting or a music quiz: book the activity for 90 minutes to two hours early in the evening, then regroup at a private venue nearby for dinner and the prize-giving. Pairing an activity with dinner keeps the energy of the game without ending the night in a leisure centre.

Games at a private venue

An end-of-year company quiz, a murder mystery, a casino night or Christmas bingo: these team building games happen right where the party is. With a host running things, the group stays in one place from start to finish and nobody gets lost between two addresses.

Porte Maillot · up to 110 guests

Opposite the Palais des Congrès, this restaurant has been serving Moroccan and Mediterranean specialities for more than 40 years. Its glass-roofed atrium, planted with real olive trees, and three adjoining rooms host up to 110 guests for drinks and 80 seated. A projector and screen for the quiz, a fully equipped 90 m² kitchen, and the choice between the in-house caterer and your own.

🎉 The big night out

Drinks, a DJ and a dance floor

When the whole company is invited, the format scales up: a walking dinner, speeches, awards, then a DJ until late. At this size, the venue makes the night. Look for a flexible address with several areas, so you can move from dinner to the dance floor without resetting the room, and a late finishing time.

République · up to 450 guests

A short walk from Place de la République, 700 m² over two floors, fully redesigned with architects. On the ground floor, a 220 m² studio and a light-filled library. Upstairs, a 180 m² glass-roofed hall and a bistro with a terrace. Up to 450 guests standing and 250 seated, with parties allowed until 5 am on the ground floor, so drinks, dinner and the dance party all happen under one roof.

🗓️ Christmas dinner, cocktail party or January celebration?

Under 30 people: a dinner or a workshop

With a small group, everyone can take part in the same activity. A cooking class, a pottery workshop or a raclette around a single table builds real rapport, and dinner follows on naturally.

30 to 100 people: a cocktail party with activities

Above 30 guests, a single workshop gets hard to follow. You are better off with a cocktail party and one or two drop-in activities, such as a tasting bar or a wreath-making station, where people join when they feel like it while the party carries on around them.

Over 100 people, or a packed calendar: the January party

November and December take most of the bookings, and December Thursdays and Fridays go first. A January party, built around leadership's new year message, gives you more dates and more venues to choose from, and starts the year on a high. Teams also tend to like a party that does not land in the middle of the year-end rush.
