Cannes Lions isn't just a conference. For the companies who show up, the whole week is an opportunity to host, to connect, to make a mark beyond the sessions at the Palais. AirOps, an AI platform for marketing and revenue teams, approached it exactly that way.

They came with two needs: a space where they could host a proper networking cocktail, and somewhere for the team to actually stay and decompress between the days. Native Spaces helped them sort both.

## 📋 **The brief**

AirOps needed a sea-facing venue for a panel and an evening networking cocktail for around 50 guests, with space for a branded merch activation on-site, plus accommodation for the team across the full Lions week, all walkable from the Palais des Festivals.

## 🏖️ **The event: a private beach on the Cannes seafront**

For the panel followed by a cocktail, AirOps semi-privatised a section of a [private beach on Boulevard Jean Hibert](https://native-spaces.com/venue/sea-view-private-beach-cannes-ideal-weddings-sunset-events-413), a 12-minute walk from the Palais. The venue has been a Cannes institution since 1928: golden sand, panoramic sea views across to the Lérins Islands and the Esterel massif, and a relaxed, family-run atmosphere.

The group had a dedicated outdoor area with built-in AV (microphone, speakers, screen) and this is where the panel took place, with the sea directly behind the speakers. A format that usually happens in a meeting room, held outdoors instead. Guests stayed in the same space as the evening moved into the cocktail: a 3-hour open bar with canapés, and full branding on-site.

The Native Spaces team went on-site ahead of the event to make sure everything was running smoothly and to help bridge any language barrier with the venue.

Beyond the venue itself, Native Spaces also helped coordinate the service providers around the event: a chauffeur for the evening, a DJ, and a France-based goodies and merchandising contact to supply the branded tote bags and iron-on patches for the customisation station.

## 🏡 **The accommodation: two Cannes addresses for the team**

The team spread across two properties for the week.

The first was the [Creative Loft with Garden](https://native-spaces.com/venue/creative-loft-garden-cannes-events-25-guests-2002): a character-filled 1925 property with five bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a garden terrace that seats 30, and a small pool, about a 15-minute walk from La Croisette.

The second was an Industrial Loft with a Sea View Terrace, a top-floor apartment on Boulevard d'Alsace with four en-suite bedrooms, a large south-facing terrace with sweeping views across the sea, and a 7-minute walk to the Palais.

Between the private beach panel and cocktail and the two team houses, AirOps had a complete Cannes Lions setup.

For the team behind AI Trailblazers, Cannes Lions week was a chance to do something bigger than attend the festival. They wanted to host their own summit: a curated lunch and panel discussion for an audience of Fortune 500 CMOs.

Finding the right space in Cannes during Lions week, at short notice, with a clear brief around panel setup, F&B, and branding, was the challenge. Native Spaces handled it.

## 📋 The brief

AI Trailblazers needed a fully privatised venue for around 50 guests, with a proper panel setup (stage area, seated audience) plus a light lunch with sparkling wine, branding capability on-site (signage and banners), and a location within easy reach of the Palais.

## 🏛️ The chosen venue: a villa near La Croisette

AI Trailblazers ended up in a spacious villa: 1,500 sqm in total, a six-minute walk from La Croisette and 15 minutes from the Palais. Floor-to-ceiling french doors flood the main entertaining space with natural light, a terrace overlooks the gardens and pool, and the indoor space seats up to 70 guests in a theatre-style setup.

The panel took place in a 65 sqm living area spread over two adjoining rooms, with the garden and pool just outside. It gave the session a much warmer feel than a classic conference room, and the separate access for the production team plus parking for 4–5 cars made the day easy to run.

Once the panel wrapped, the whole event moved outside. Guests spread across the garden and around the pool for the networking session, with a DJ set and catering.

## ✨ How it came together

Once the venue was confirmed, the AI Trailblazers team was connected directly with the host to finalise F&B, branding, chair setup, and on-site logistics; everything coordinated through a single point of contact.

## 🥂 The Chosen Venue: a 180m² Apartment in Le Marais

We proposed a 180m² apartment set inside a Régence-style townhouse, right in Le Marais and a few minutes from Opéra. A genuine Parisian apartment, full of character: 18th-century wood panelling, oak parquet, black marble and gilded detailing, all lifted by high ceilings and natural light.

What made it the right fit is that it lends itself to any format. The layout is modular: the apartment can host a seated dinner for the 25 guests, a more relaxed gathering around the lounges and living areas, or a cocktail evening where everyone moves freely from room to room. A 35m² terrace opens off the back, perfect for stepping out for some air with a glass in hand, and music is welcome at an easy dinner-party volume.

## 💫 How It All Began

During the Cannes Film Festival, the Croisette becomes one of the most sought-after spots in the events world. Brands don't just want a room. They want somewhere special, a place guests remember long after the last glass is poured. That was exactly the brief from the team behind Bodvar, who came to Native Spaces to showcase their rosé at a VIP event, in front of an audience of celebrities, influencers and press.

Some venues you have to dress up. This one you don't. Set on the legendary 3.14 beach on the Croisette, it is a hacienda with its feet in the sand: white sails moving in the breeze, plant-filled corners, South American craftwork and a Colombian-inspired kitchen led by chef Juan Arbelaez. The sea on one side, the festival buzz on the other. For a summer rosé brand that wants to be seen, the backdrop sells itself.

And it delivered on every line of the brief. The team confirmed the afternoon slot with the setup and breakdown windows the production needed, the kitchen put together a curated selection of canapés to pass among guests, and the space comfortably held a branded photocall and a live set. Because the brand wanted to serve its own rosé, the venue coordinated the wine delivery and on-site storage ahead of time, so everything was chilled and ready when doors opened.

## ✨ How It Came Together

An activation like this has a lot of moving parts, and three sides to keep aligned: the producer, the brand founder and the beach team. Sonja, their account manager, sat in the middle of all of it. She arranged a site visit so the client could see the space before committing, ran the day-of logistics from wine storage to the live performance, connected the team with a trusted production partner for the stage, and made sure the timing worked for everyone so the brand had the full setup and breakdown it needed. By the time guests arrived on the Croisette, the only thing left to do was open the rosé.
