Unusual tavern with show decors

The Taverne, located in the heart of our château in Mayenne, is a warm and friendly place where gastronomy and culture meet. Run by Cédric, the passionate tavern-keeper, and a team of dedicated volunteers, the tavern offers family-style cuisine with authentic flavours.

Before each show, guests can enjoy a hearty meal consisting of a main course and dessert for 19 euros (excluding drinks). It's also a great opportunity to meet the artists in a friendly atmosphere, where people can talk and get to know each other.

The tavern regularly organises themed dinners, punctuated by a variety of artistic performances. For example, there are evenings dedicated to French chanson and great opera choirs, offering a unique culinary and cultural experience.

In December 2024, the tavern took part in an event featuring a candlelit show in the château's drawing room followed by a festive meal, immersing guests in a magical and festive atmosphere.

In short, the Taverne is a place where gastronomy meets culture, offering visitors memorable moments in a historic and welcoming setting.

The Taverne has a professional kitchen, a bar with professional beer taps and a professional coffee machine. It can accommodate 60 people.
It can be hired on its own or with a team of services or artistic performances based around theatre or singing and music, particularly opera.
